Paradise sits between St. John’s and Conception Bay South, which is a big part of its appeal — you’re a short commute from downtown but you get more room and a calmer, residential feel. Over the past couple of decades it’s been one of the fastest-growing towns in the province, and you can see it in the mix of established streets and newer subdivisions.
The housing
Because so much of Paradise has been built more recently, there’s a lot of newer housing stock — modern subdivisions, newer builds, and a good range of family homes. That tends to draw first-time buyers stepping up from a condo or starter home, and move-up buyers who want another bedroom, a bigger yard, or a garage. Prices span a wide range depending on the neighbourhood and age of the home, so it’s worth getting a feel for the specific pockets.

Paradise has grown its amenities along with its population — schools, parks, trails, sports facilities, and everyday shopping are all close at hand, and you’re still only a quick drive from everything St. John’s offers. For families juggling school, activities, and work, that balance of space and convenience is the big draw.
